London’s free NHS-approved digital mental health service

Good Thinking is the first city-wide digital mental wellbeing service that provides Londoners with proactive and early intervention self-care tools. Over a hundred mental health apps, support and resources, all approved by the NHS and mostly free, are available for those experiencing the four most common mental health concerns of stress, sleep deprivation, anxiety and depression.

The Good Thinking website categorises resources in order to allow you to search for support by specific mental health concerns. Once you have chosen one of the four conditions that you are struggling with, you are asked to answer three simple questions that will generate the top four resources and apps recommended to you. You can also narrow your search for resources by the audience in need of help (e.g. parents, young people, employers etc) or by the type of content you are looking for. Although there are a lack of specific suicide bereavement resources, using the search function you can look for generalised bereavement related content that signposts to targeted resources; many of which encourage using talking therapies to help you navigate your grief- as do we!

The Self-Assessment area of the website allows you to choose between five clinically validated tests that will provide you with a diagnosis of your symptoms, helpful resources and relevant treatment options if necessary. We think this tool is great as it can be used to keep track of your mental health, get personalised advice and allows you to think about the kind of support that may be beneficial to you!

The below animation outlines what Good Thinking is all about and how the website can be used to find the mental wellbeing apps and resources that are the best for you.
