Lifting the Lid Festival - Our Conversation Guide Presentation

In November 2022, our Co-Founder and CEO Amelia delivered a presentation at the Lifting the Lid festival  as an introduction to Suicide&Co and Our Conversation Guide. Lifting the Lid Festival is a yearly free festival that ‘lifts the lid’ on everything death and dying through various events, conversations, workshops and more. If you did not attend the festival, you are able to purchase a Replay ticket for £5 which allows you to watch the presentation and also all of the other events that took place at the festival. 

During the presentation, Amelia gave an introduction to the charity, how it began and her own experiences, which led her and Emma start  Suicide&Co. Amelia presents Our Conversation Guide which gives advice on how to have better conversations surrounding suicide-related grief. This covers topics such as the importance of conversations, stigma, non-judgemental listening and more. Amelia gives tips, talks about language to use and breaks down questions to ask. 

Our Conversation Guide supplies key information and tips on how to be there for your loved ones and emphasises that it is better to have a conversation than not to at all. Amelia deliver a version of  this presentation to companies in order to up skill their staff and help to spread awareness and understanding of suicide bereavement.
