If you have experienced or are experiencing any of these thoughts or feelings, you can call the HOPELINE to speak to an advisor. It can also be used as a debriefing service for those who have supported someone in a professional or personal role.
You can call them on this number- 0800 068 4141 or text them on- text 88247, lines are open 24/7, including bank holidays and weekends. You can learn more about them here.
The Hopeline advisers are all trained in supporting young people and concerned others. Their training allows them to provide advice on moving forward and staying alive. The advisers can also help concerned others with how to open up a conversation around suicide and the best options to support someone who they are concerned for. Their aim is to help callers work through understanding why suicidal thoughts are present and to provide a safe space in which callers can talk through anything going on in their life and the safety of themselves and others around them.
