Adele’s Story

Adele loves to lose herself in a book or at the cinema.

She experienced the loss of her Mum at an early age which had a great impact on her life and influenced the work she went on to pursue.

She currently works in the NHS as a Suicide Prevention and Bereavement Support Programme Manager but prior to this she was a police officer for 21 years which included responding to those experiencing suicidal thoughts, those who had taken their lives and those bereaved by suicide. In 2018, she was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal in the New Year’s Honours List for her distinguished service.

Adele works closely with those suicide bereaved in Greater Manchester and is passionate about improving the support offered to those bereaved or affected by suicide. She was greatly honoured to be asked to be a Trustee for Suicide & Co.
