Bloom is an app that empowers you to become your own therapist through guided and interactive therapy sessions, using CBT to help you retrain your mind. Founders Leon and Daniel believe in the power of self-therapy to manage stress and anxiety, improve sleep, build better habits, foster stronger relationships, and improve the overall quality of life.

You can rank your confidence with CBT as either beginner, intermediate or expert so that the app can be tailored to your experience. You can also choose your guide and your preferred time for daily sessions so that the app can send you reminders to keep you on track. The introduction video explains how you can become your own therapist and includes an initial exercise to show how you can reshape your thinking and understand your thought patterns to improve your mental well-being.

After a 7-day free trial, Bloom costs £4.91 a month/£58.99 a year for access to over 500 CBT sessions and exercises, daily journaling and health check-ins, and activities such as guided breathwork and mindfulness. There are many different sessions giving you the ability to choose what you would like to work on, such as living with grief, working through stress, and coping with change. Whilst these sessions and exercises are not suicide bereavement specific, CBT is known to be an effective technique for grief and can help with the issues of depression and anxiety that can accompany this loss.
