Owen and his daughter Evie bravely discuss the loss of Rose Paterson, their wife and mother who died by suicide in April 2021. They candidly talk about the event of Rose going missing and the shock when the police seemingly knew instantly what they were looking for.

Evie talks about how difficult it is to re-calibrate life and cope with the loss as well as trying to navigate the specific complex aspects of grief associated with suicide and the continuous questions.

Owen is an MP and has become a voice for mental health and suicide bereavement, his resonating line is that if their experience and harrowing story can help even one person seek the help they need before it's too late then re-living their loss will in some ways feel worth it. That's exactly what we believe in at Suicide&Co and is why we're trying to signpost and share as many stories as possible.
