After losing my big brother Adam to suicide in 2022 I have found a real calling for bringing community together. I have recently started a girlie walking group in my local area and our first walk gathered 11 likeminded girls. The online group attracted 90 members in a short space of time so there’s a real need for bringing people together. The thought of anyone feeling alone really bothers me and I know how much my big brother loved walking as a coping mechanism when he was here. Bringing the walking group together is hopefully to build a safe space for communication and company and a personal tribute to my big brother.
