Submission 81
On a crowded street in Accra, my taxi stood still in traffic as a man on a horse breezed past us on the pavement. Intrigued, I watched him veer off onto a dusty path toward the beach. Later that day, I followed the same route and found him, Daniel. We got chatting, and I asked if I could make a photograph with him. He was happy to do this so we planned to meet up the next day. To my surprise, Daniel showed up with two friends, also on horseback, who wanted their photos taken too. As they charged down the beach, it was clear that for the riders this was more than just a photoshoot, it was a shared moment of joy and camaraderie. It made the pictures even better.
