Submission 56

Dearest David,

It’s over forty years now since you died. You’re forever not quite twenty one years old, forever missed like a hole that’s never mended.

I bear the scars of your loss daily and it was so hard to get through and support our parents after you died. For them they could never admit you chose to take your life, for me it was important to acknowledge it.

You must have been so alone, so scared, you left the light on at night like we used to as children. No one came to check why the light was on for three days, till the day my father found you.

I know you’re at peace now, you’ve been wonderful at leaving me messages and coming back when the need arose. I release you in love and light and let you join all the stars, which you for sure were.

You brightened up so many lives.

Thank you.
