As I Remember You: A Grief Journal Honouring the Memory of our Loved Ones

In 2015 Katrina King's world was shattered at the age of just 23 when she lost her mother to suicide. Having grown up in Ireland, she described the cultural stigma and shame she experienced when trying to express her emotions, and quickly learnt to mask her feelings to the point of burnout. It was only when she turned to writing as a lifeline for healing that she was able to access the emotions she had buried so long ago.

Finding space for reflection and remembrance is an essential part of our grief journey. As renowned grief author Alison Gilbert emphasises, journaling about the loved one we have lost can move us from a space of passive mourning to a space of active remembering.

Katrina King's "As I Remember You" Grief Journal allows us to do just that; to express our feelings, share memories and commemorate the life of our loved one, wherever we are in our grief journey. Within the pages of the journal, you'll find a safe haven for cathartic nostalgia and remembering through thought-provoking questions and prompts that foster a direct dialogue between you and the person you have lost. There are also opportunities to write letters to your loved one, facilitating emotional expression and processing, as well as daily check-in pages to encourage reflection. As the journal unfolds, your loved one's unique traits, lessons and shared moments blend into a beautiful memory book to be cherished.
