An app providing digital GP appointments (Copy)

The Livi app collaborates with GP surgeries across the UK to provide video consultations with a doctor for medical advice, prescriptions, and referrals within minutes. The aim of the app is to make healthcare more equal, accessible and an easier process for all as when you are unwell, you want to see a doctor fast. Therefore, Livi is ideal for those who cannot get to a doctor’s surgery or do not have time to wait for an in-person appointment. Video consultations are becoming increasingly integrated into the NHS, with one of their 2021 aims being to ensure all patients have the right to digital primary care.

GP appointments on the app are free in eligible areas for those NHS surgeries that have created a partnership with Livi. However, there is a pay as you go service option where each appointment is £29, for those not in eligible areas.

Livi GPs can treat a range of medical issues that do not require physical exams such as anxiety and depression, insomnia, skin issues and headaches. Therefore, their GPs can help with the various issues that can stem from grief. The company is also expanding to include mental health therapy services such as online CBT video calls with a mental health psychiatrist or therapist, so keep an eye out for this!
