My precious friend

I hope you know how very much you were loved. I will carry you in my heart despite how painful that feels at the moment. I am beyond sad and still can't really take it in. I wish I could have been with you for longer. It frightens me to know you were alone and cold (in a literal sense that evening). I am sorry the pain was too much. You were so brave to live life your way through difficult times. I hope I can borrow an essence of that courage as I try and walk forward without you here. I promise I will try to help looking after what mattered most to you. I know you took comfort from your four legged friend - he misses you too. You are so unbelievably special and I am glad we shared part of our lives. There were genuine smiles amidst the awful things. I miss you and I will love you forever my friend xxx
