Born just nine months apart I feel like you were always there, my cousin, my best friend throughout childhood and into adulthood.

I am so sorry that I was not there for you before you passed.
I should have reached out further to you, I should have tried harder.

I am so sorry.

You were not your illness, you were beautiful, funny and so talented at so many things.

I hope that when my children grow up they will look back as fondly on their childhood together as I look back on my childhood with you.

Thank you for the love, the sleepovers, the chats, the games of dizzy ducks, the cocktails and the cackles.

You were so brave.
