To my brilliant son Lee

Hello beautiful boy, it’s been so long since I’ve been able to hold you tight little man, but of course you’re a big grown up man now. I bet you’re much taller than Dad nowadays. We’re all so proud of you Lee and talk to you and about you everyday sweetheart. Your brilliant legacies are helping other families, Sunshine, and your friends stay in touch which is lovely. We miss you so so much but feel your energy everywhere. Keep watching over us all, gently guiding and keeping us safe, especially Penny, Ayla and Katie who always adore you.

I’m so privileged to be your mum Lee and you’ve taught me so much Munchkin. I know you’d love Milo, Grandma Grace says he’s just like you but in doggy form the first time she met him! Thank you for all the comforting signs you send us and I hope you see how many incense sticks I light for you darling. I know you’re free Starboy and no longer in pain so keep flying high and shining bright in the Auriga constellation. You’ve become our brilliant Supernova and your light is always the brightest, baby boy. There’s so much more I want to say but Dad and I talk to you everyday as you know. I hope you like our tattoos, inspired by Elpho and his adventures and I have written poetry for you too. We treasure your poems to us and cherish every moment we shared with you Lee. Our love is eternal so we are one.

I hope you are running your own restaurant now and realised your dream of becoming a chef. You made such amazing food for us and I cannot wait to be served another delicious meal by you, my cherished son. I bet they’re queuing out the door and you’re fully booked each day! Until the time when we can be together again we will all continue telling your story and speaking your name, Lee Jason Shaun Ridgway, the bravest boy in the whole world. Don’t be worried anymore my precious second born child, be happy and know peace forever. I love you so much, I always have done and I always will, your Mum xxxx
